It has been one year after taking the appointment as the Chairman of Hong Kong Interior Design Association (HKIDA). I feel honored to be part of HKIDA to serve the association and the members with the committee members during this period of time. I would like to express a heartfelt appreciation for the support and contribution from the committee members, the members and the industry.

Founded in 1991, HKIDA is fifteen years old this year. I and our team are committed to work for the betterment of our industry and also Hong Kong . We are now making some major changes to live up to our slogan "Let's be Pro". Investigating the idea of introducing professional industry standards, i.e. RIDA project - 'Registered Interior Designers Association' is the first priority mission at this moment. It will be the first registered body of professional interior designers that has been introduced in the Hong Kong. Therefore, we welcome members from the whole industry to make us stronger and bigger, and our voice will be louder.

It has been more than a decade since HKIDA was founded and the world has entered a new century. HKIDA will continue to keep abreast of the changes and strive to achieve the objectives of developing and improving professional standards of the industry and gaining recognition from the Government and the public.

During my period of office for the next few years, I hope HKIDA will be growing much better with your full support. Let us hope RIDA this big baby will born in the near future to provide professional and qualified design to the community.
