THE INTERIOR DESIGN ASSOCIATION (HKIDA) was founded in 1991.
It is a national, non-governmental, non profit-making association
of the interior professions, made up of professional designers,
contractors, suppliers and other related bodies in the industry
of Interior Architecture. It's funding comes from Membership
fees, self funding events and sponsorship.
HKIDA has three categories of membership:
- Professional Member
- Ordinary Member
- Student Member
The HKIDA's objective is to develop and improve professional
standards of designers, contractors and suppliers to include
codes of conduct, standards of creativity, workmanship and
technical innovation; to unite and advance the professionalism
of commercial interior design through advocacy, education,
networking and public relations.
We, as an association are fulfilling these objectives. We
have dozens of people who selflessly volunteer their time
and effort on the many committees that make up our association.
They do it because of the personal and professional fulfillment
that being involved in HKIDA allows them to achieve. Our Board
of Directors and Executive Committees are an aggressive group,
determined and committed to bringing you a more united association
that will advance your goals.
