第十六屆亞太區室內設計大獎頒獎典禮
由香港室內設計協會舉辦的第十六屆二零零八年亞太區室內設計大獎頒獎典禮，已於十一月五日假座香港會議展覽中心隆重舉行。繼續秉承大會的宗旨，多年來旨在表揚傑出的室內設計專案和設計師，同時提高亞太區室內設計業內的專業水準和操守。
當晚大會嘉賓包括 : 香港立法局議員劉秀成太平紳士 (功能界別 - 建築、測量及都市規劃界) ，香港立法局霍震霆議員太平紳士 (功能界別 - 功能界別 - 體育、演藝、文化及出版界) ，其他貴賓及頒獎嘉賓包括有香港貿易發展局助理總裁周啟良先生、周梁淑怡 GBS, OBE 太平紳士 、連同三百多名本港及海外友會會長和業界知名人士，以及得獎人士一同參與亞太區室內設計界的矚目盛事。
香港室內設計協會會長陳德堅表示 APIDA 亞太區室內設計大獎已經成為亞太區的室內設計行業最具代表性的專業指標之一，藉著比賽，提供一處互相交流觀摩的平台，從而提高區內的設計師設計水平，意義深遠。今年參賽作品是歷年之冠，不再局限大中華地區的室內設計事務所參與，國際化企業的亞太區項目也不斷遞增。另外，中國的室內設計師水準亦相繼提高，當中也囊括了不少獎項 。
本年度之大獎反應極為熱烈，收到超過六百四十份參賽作品，本會邀請到十一位香港及國際知名的室內設計師，建築師及學術界組成專業評審團，從十個類別（零售、辦公室、酒店、會所／消閑空間、住宅、餐館／酒吧、陳列／展覽，示範單位、學院／公共空間、學生習作等）的作品中挑選出水準最高的五名得獎者，包括金獎、銀獎、銅獎各一名及優異獎兩名。為表揚對室內設計作出貢獻而設的 Best Design Support Award 則由 Miele (Hong Kong) Ltd 奪得。（三甲位置的得獎名單於附表）。
本屆頒獎典禮由 Kohler Asia Pacific Limited 及安利有限公司聯合冠名贊助。

16th Asia Pacific Interior Design Award (APIDA) 2008 Presentation Ceremony & Gala Dinner
With the enthusiastic participation and support from interior architects and designers over the years, Asia Pacific Interior Design Award (APIDA) becomes one of the great events at scope of Interior Design in Asia, developed by Hong Kong Interior Design Association (HKIDA).
This year HKIDA has received the greatest number of APIDA entries, more than 600 entries from Asian/Pacific Region include China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and The Philippines have received to contest the supreme honorable awards of Interior Design.
An Annual Grand Event The Asia Pacific Interior Design Award (APIDA) Presentation Ceremony & Gala Dinner will be held at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 5 November 2008.
To enhance the professional standards of APIDA, the prestigious international adjudication panel consists of world-renowned professionals and experts from a variety of business, professional, academic and design disciplines with experience both locally and internationally.
The final result for ten categories of interior design will be announced at the Presentation Ceremony and Gala Dinner. Extraordinary, praising the excellent composition, the new ceremonious award "Best Design Support Award" will be recognized.
